Light earthquake, 4.7 mag was detected near Mendi in Papua New Guinea

Earthquake location -6.2398S, 142.8815WA light earthquake with magnitude 4.7 (ml/mb) was detected on Sunday, 85 kilometers (53 miles) from Mendi in Papua New Guinea. Date and time of earthquake in UTC/GMT: 03/03/18 / 2018-03-03 15:49:13 / March 3, 2018 @ 3:49 pm. The temblor was picked up at 01:49:13 / 1:49 am (local time epicenter). A tsunami warning has not been issued (Does not indicate if a tsunami actually did or will exist). Exact location of earthquake, longitude 142.8815 East, latitude -6.2398 South, depth = 10 km. Event id: us2000dbqb. Ids that are associated to the earthquake: us2000dbqb. The epicenter of the earthquake was roughly 10 km (6 miles) below the earth’s surface.
