    I live less than 1/2mile from the epi center. I felt a very strong jolt like someone dropped a wrecking ball on my roof. The roof (tile) shook and the stove hood rattled loudly. The floor and kitchen counter also vibrate. All this lasted about 1-2 seconds. And all was still.

    I’m less than 1km from the epicenter and felt it as a sharp 2 second jolt directly underneath the house. It shook the entire home and felt as if something had exploded underneath the home because it was sharp, quick, and noisy.

    I live in west San Jose on Colusa Way. I believe I felt this mid-morning quake. I was sitting in my living room and suddenly heard what felt like a large thump on my roof that shook the house for a second or two. The outdoor cat headed up the street toward home and seemed disconcerted.

    I felt it in Los Gatos. I heard a low roar and then there was a jolt. The house shook a bit.
