A moderate earthquake magnitude 5.8 (mg/mb) has striked on Sunday, 4 kilometers (2 miles) from Mabayo in Philippines. The temblor was reported at 03:32:02 / 3:32 am (local time epicenter) at a depth of 74.76 km (46 miles). Global time of event 2015-01-10 07:32:02 UTC/GMT. I awoke just after 3:30 AM Sunday morning, as my capiz shell lamp was shaking, dogs were barking. I did not panic as I have been in several Quakes, in my life, and this one did not seem very bad. No damage, and I probably slept through the first part of it. I estimated it was a 3-4 on the scale, but I was surprised to find it was a 5.8 on the scale at the epicenter…no worries…
