    We felt it very strongly in Kempton Park as well. Very scary. Hope and trust that everyone close to the actual event is ok!

    I only know about the earth tremor in Welkom 1976 I think. Haven’t heard about the quake near Orkney?

    I think it was 79. I lived in Welkom and remember the flats that collapsed near the old hospital and being pushed under the bed or dressing table by the domestic. I was 3 yrs old. Today I am in Klerksdorp. I won’t forget this one either.
